The last day sent us strong wind from Easter directions, sunshine and pleasant temperatures. The windsurfers in the Copenhagen areas could chose between three good wave spots: Møn, Rødvig or Gislövhammar in Sweden.
On Sunday, the 16th a few of us went to Gislövhammar. In teh afternoon the conditions were good, but not more. Waves up to 1,5m. Sailsize 5,0 for the heavier ones, many on 4,5, me on 4,2. the two hours before it got dark at 21.30h were very good with nice waves around 2m. No time for photo session.
Monday looked even better and the prognosis was right. Alreday in the afternoon the wind was stronger and the waves 0,5m higher. Roelf-Hans Van der Venn and me went out with 4,0 others between 4,7 and 4,2. Klaus Petersen with 3,7. The light was perfect for photography. The first set of photos ist from the early afternoon.
The waves increased constantly and were around 2-3m in the evening when I shooted the second set in warm sunlight.
A hour before sunset heavy waves with 3-4m rolled in. Perfect for wave riding!! Nice clean rolling waves with lot sof power! But also very strong current and some times no wind in front of the big waves - sideonshore. We stopped when it became dark.
A perfect big day at one of my favorite spots in good company with the Swedish locals - Tak så mycka!
